The Police Police

The Police Police
(An alleyway. Enter a purse snatcher fleeing arrest. Enter his pursuer, a uniformed officer.)

Cop: Police! (The cop overtakes the crook and tackles him. He cuffs the crook and stands him back up.)

Crook: Lousy screw! (The cop draws his nightstick and whacks the crook with it. Enter another uniformed officer with two badges.)

Cop#2: Police Police!

Cop: Damn!

Cop#2: That's right. You should know better than to use your nightstick like that. (He cuffs the cop and kicks him in the behind. Enter a third officer sporting three badges. He pulls out a lasso and ensnares all three men.)

Cop#3: Police Police Police!

Cop: (to Cop#2) Ha ha.

Cop#3: (to Cop#2) You should know better than to use your foot like that.

(Half an hour later the alley is filled with bound, uniformed bodies when it is encircled by tanks breaking through buildings to get to the scene. They stop and a head pops out of one of the turrets.)

Tank Driver: Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police Police!
